Things are crazy right now. Aside form not sleeping at night due to severe anxiety I'm experiencing everything is great (sarcasm). So much stuff is going on. Polish visa, Apartment hunting (includes speaking with real estate agents that i can't understand), plane tickets, loans worth 200K, school starts in 4 days. Everything is just over whelming right now.
I just booked the plane ticket. A round trip cost me 1500 bucks. I have an apple.ca order that is $2500, I have my down payment for tuition and pre-study course which is 2000, I owe my mother 1000 and I have to make the 9000 tuition payment by September 30th. The financial woes continue.
Nerves are building up and the pressure is getting to me. Of the highest importance out of everything is getting exemptions from 1st year courses. This needs to happen in the worst way. I'm told it shouldn't be an issue but I am very adamint that this happens promptly.
Will keep updates in the future. Peace
With this site, my family and friends will be able to stay up-to-date with me while I study dentistry in Poland. I miss all of you from home!

Start of June after Graduation
So, I'm now fully exposed to real world events and hardships. The student loans do in fact have to be paid back despite what i thought 2 months ago. I started the summer off REAL rocky. I was unemployed for ~3 -3-1/2 weeks, I was so hurting for money I was just about to swallow my pride and drop off an application at Canadian Tire........for the second time. It was a scenario my brother in law compared to that Simpsons where Bart was punished to his room for the night without any pizza. Right before Bart was about learn his lesson, Homer sneaked up to his room and gave him pizza. Well, that was me with respect to finding a job this summer. Right before I was about to throw away my dignity and apply for a job at Canadian Tire I landed the best gig of my young life. I was hired on at one of the biggest dental practice in Atlantic Canada, The Fredericton Dental Center. I was put in charge of revamping the website (www.frederictondentalcentre.com) and marketing some of the new services the practice offers. My co-workers consist of Dr. Violette (the coolest dentist in the world) and 22 gorgeous women. Tough life eh...yea i know.
Aside from the job, its been kind of boring here in freddy. Not a lot of friends kicking around here so the weekends have been pretty limited. I Started playing frisbee with the Fredericton league this past Tuesday and it was actually awesome. We aren't very good, but man do we have fun. Everyone on the team is legit and the best part is that after the game, EVERYBODY and i mean everybody goes out to the bar afterwards and gets rinsed. Its the kind of frisbee I like. I was playing with the competitive spawn team but i dropped it pretty quick. That team consisted of several engineering guys who love themselves and take shit far too seriously. Lets get real here guys, you chase a piece of plastic that dogs play with down a field. Relax on the seriousness. So clearly i had enough of that BS.
Last thing I wanted to talk about was my upcoming "interview" for Poznan University of Medical Sciences. I FINALLY, received an email from the dean of dentistry confirming my interview in Missisauga on July 5th. This is a really weird situation for me. I think that I'm in, but I don't actually know if I'm in...... and because of the uncertainty, I'm getting really nervous for my upcoming interview. I heard its really relaxed but I'm still a little bit worried about what they will say about my marks. I have to go get a chest x-ray, urine test and blood work all for the interview I have to get done. Its a huge process and I really hope it was worth it. I have no backup plan, I am totally balls deep ready to go on this and if it doesn't work out I'm fucked and will have to blog about it. I want this soooooo bad. I love being a student and I am fully committed to getting what I want out of life. Dentistry is what I want. From now up until the interview I am gearing up for it. I have a rough idea of what I'm going to be asked but I'm going to try and cover all my angles. I quite confident that they can't ask me anything about Biology that I don't know. Physics might be tough but it should be a question concerning something pretty broad like "what is light" or what is "sound"...... I hope. Will keep posted on the progress and results. If all goes well I will be learning Polish in a month. Cheers

Graduation and Starting Life
Graduation weekend just passed and it is now time to start life I guess. I pulled into Antigonish on Friday picked up the hood and gown, checked into res and began the grad activities. We had a sweet party in the Mac lounge Friday night, it was a super chill atmosphere and I ended up getting obliterated, something I don't really do anymore. Once our pre-drink finished up we rolled over to the inn where i had the best time at the Inn of my undergrad career at X. So many things made it a great night. Great start to grad weekend.
Saturday night was pretty fun as well. The family made the trip down and we all went to Boston Pizza and feasted. After dinner we all came back to Mac and drank a little bit. I took my parents to the inn for the first time. It was pretty weak though. We basically went in all bought one beer and stood in a stationary position and drank it. Once the beer was done, we left......Kinda plain but it was still a good day and i was really glad that my family was with me.
The next morning it was bright and early for graduation at 8:00am. Ceremony was long and the people that spoke at the ceremony were awful, especially our grad class speaker. But i received my degree and all was well. Went back to Mac and had a nap, skyped a dear friend and then went out for dinner in New Glasgow. Dinner was awesome and my mom had a special graduation dessert ordered for me. We got back to Antigonish and went to the graduation Gala. I met some new people at the gala said some congratulations, danced and had a great time. The after party at the Inn was also pretty good. Danced socialized drank, it was all good.
Overall, it was a great weekend. I am going to miss a lot of my friends dearly and X was a really great experience that you could get no where else in the world. I made a lot of friends, went through a lot of difficult situations and grew a lot as a person. I now know a little something about pretty much anything in this world and I feel as if i can take on any challenge. I want to continue my education, I still don't feel ready to start working and begin my career but given the debt accumulated with my undergrad it almost seems necessary. I want to do dentistry badly so i will pursue that to its fullest extent.
It was weird because i woke up this morning and it almost feels like i no longer have a security net, and that I'm just out there now. Its tough because if you think about it, i just went 16 years of life in the education system. It is literally all i know. It's scary to think that I, as of right now, don't have that anymore. I'm would be lying if I said i wasn't scared.
So lets reflect on the last 4 years of my life in university.
Negative:
I had my heart broken on 3 separate occasions, i faced academic hardships, I faced severe amounts of rejection, felt like giving up numerous times (vert phys/ biochem day), was deathly ill at one point and had a friend pass away.
Positive:
I overcame all of the negatives, received a degree, received an x-ring, am on the brink of attending dental school, bought my first car, made some life long friends and grew.
Regrets:
Living in Macneil, not saying things to people that i needed to say (specifically with lady friends), not doing better in third year and to build off that, not learning to study properly until 4th year and lastly procrastination.
I always say, never have any regrets, but whats done is done and i can accept that. All i can do is learn from the things i regret and make the appropriate changes in my behavior.
Lets start life.

Montreal Canadiens- Game 6
Things to cover:
1. The Anthem
2. The disallowed goal in the first
3. The Lucic Hit on Spacek
4. Carey Price Puck Handling
Ok Lets go.
Not 100% sure if i totally dug the anthem or not. It was a rendition of the anthem with an orchestra, no singing. Why don't the habs have a guy like the singer in Chicago who gets the crowd absolutely fired up before the game. Montreal is such a historic team that they need to get a hometown guy to sing the anthem for the biggest game of the year. I'm just saying. There has to be some crazy opera singer in Montreal that could fill this role.
The disallowed goal is killing me. Right now we are in the second intermission and it should be 3-1 for the habbys. I can understand that the ref lost sight of the puck but thats why they have 2 referees isn't it? I mean, if this goal comes back to haunt them i and 100 000 other people will not be happy campers. Referees cannot blow a call of that magnitude at this stage in the season. Come on blue!
Lucic is just straight up dirty. You could call it charging, bording or checking from behind. Take your pick. Spacek had a pretty dirty cut above his eye the last time i saw him on camera but he seems to be ok. If Lucic sees the numbers he cant make that hit or he could at least ease up a bit, ya digg? Flat out dirty. Shades of Chara on Pacoretty.
Every time Carey Price goes to play the puck I pretty near shit myself. I know that he is one of the best puckhandling goalies in the league but still. Just stay in the net. Stop the dump ins behind the net, then get back in the net. Simple. Stop making Canadiens nation skip a heartbeat every time you come out of your net.
